Man Cannot Replace God

As I was scrolling Facebook early this morning I read a post on a page I follow. The page is about a music video made for fun by three farm boys and how it changed the direction of their lives. But the one thing stayed the same was God’s faithfulness. It was inspiring to read about how fame and money didn’t change their core values. It was inspiring to read about how grateful they were for much needed rain and how the rainbow is a reminder that we should be thankful. It was a great reminder that the world will fail you, people will fail you, but the lord will not. God‘s love isn’t based on your success. God’s love for us never ends.
The post was refreshing to see a young man stand in his faith and tell his followers that he is steadfast in his faith. But where their post really got me was in the comment section. The post included a picture of a Kansas hay meadow with a post rain rainbow. A man says “You don’t need rain you have a pivot.” For those that aren’t aware a pivot is a watering system for the field. But more importantly this man’s comment made the most sense to me. The world is going to tell us we don’t need God. The world is going to tell you that you can provide for yourself. The world will tell you to find a worldly solution.
But a pivot is only going to water the field where it reaches. The corners of the field will dry out and die. Rain on the other hand will cover the entire field. Every last plant will get watered. This is how your faith in God works. God will help you with your whole life. God strengthens your mind, body, and soul. God gives you strength the world cannot. The world can provide you with money, success, and life on Earth. But the world misses the most important part, everlasting life. God will provide for all you needs not just your earthly ones. The world cannot provide for you after death. The world is limited to tangible resources of the earth. The world at its best cannot provide for you in whole, only God can do that through your faith.
Trust in the lord our God. I pray for each of you reading this to be steadfast in your faith.
